Events Manager
Skills Needed: Strong interpersonal skills, ability to write well, good task and time management skills, attention to detail, ability to apply critical thinking and offer ideas and suggestions, and ability to work independently and with others. Familiar with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook
Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
· Plan and manage all aspects of the Association’s virtual and in-person events
· Identify venues for events and negotiate with venue representatives in reserving rooms, finalizing menus, audio/visual needs, etc.
· Handle all responsibilities of event registration on the day of the event (process payments, create name tags, work with event staff, etc.)
· Assist in creating events by working with members and overseeing forum steering committees (set up calls, meetings, develop agendas, identify speakers, etc.)
· Oversee the association’s two golf outings & other signature events
· Complete requirements in the membership database to create events, register participants, invoice members, etc.
· Solicit sponsors for events
· Conduct member outreach to increase event attendance
· Prepare all promotional material (print and online) to market events
· Complete a financial recap of all events, pursue outstanding receivables
· Assist in office duties including processing mail, answering phone calls, etc
